Yeah I have a petzl for the headtorch, but will be being upgraded soonish I think.
Sub 30 is good, but you were talking about sub 28? How much does the gravity dropper add?
Bike is good, weighs around 34, just keeping it running now, no money and really liking how it is, I got an old LG1 to replace the SRS+, and sold the saint mech to go back to the trusty XT, that's about it really.
27km of xc tommorow morning before lunch on a 7" travel bike, love it! I've got a fair bit fitter after selling the XC bike!
Whats next on your list then? Invisible tyres?

Yeah not too bad, I saw some pictures of your bike on facebook, it's amazing, what's it sitting at currently?
I've been doing more all mountain, less DH, I love the freedom, and most nights after school heading up some fell or mountain! (got myself some l&m lights, bliss!)
Dent doesn't sound good, I did warn you ha
sure it will be fine if you keep an eye on it though.
What would you do if they requested you to be a Mod then?

Yeah, It will be sturdy enough for me. I have an extra set of wheels if I find something I really want to hit, and I am buying a new demo in the spring. I wanted to build this thing up super light, and have a sturdy trail bike with aggressive geo. I think I can get to around 27 pretty easily, and the rest I'll have to see about. I will keep my 5.1d's, however I may have get a set of the roval traverse EL's. since I work at a spesh shop, it's the cheapest option for me to lose weight on a decent wheelset while maintaining color and weight scheme. It definitely won't be a bike for ballsy shit, but thus far, I haven't found anything I won't hit on it. as far as shifting, i still run shimano cassettes and chains. Mostly Ultegra or 105 to get my gearing the way i like it. I thus far don't need a 32-34 t cassette. However when I move back west, I will... 2000 ft+ elevation climbs, compared to 300-400 ft max here on the east coast...

My goal for the bike is to be down around 26.5 or less. I have switched out my tires for my lighter ardent/advantage, and am going to weigh that, but it should be like a 380 g decrease after checking weights. I am a sram man... I have gone through so many xtr derailleurs in the past, that I have been converted. I just haven't had the longevity in the shimano shifting as I have in the sram stuff. I keep my bike maintained every time I ride, and I make sure my stuff is always good to go, and I just have not had a good run with shimano... I never used to run sram, and I have become a convert. I was going to investigate a sunrace cassette though, as I hear they are stupid light...

Yeah, I think that I'll probably end up running it. I found a new trail round here today that has some nice little road gaps, nothing big, but nice enough to hit, and i had to stop and lower my saddle... i think mentally, I'm sold, just the weight penalty is against this bikes concept. yeah, I have an XTR set waiting for my other X.0 red bits(derailleur, and shifters, and red chainring bolts, and a red CK bb-even though I think it's heavier than a xtr one) to get in, and then i am having the shop I used to work at send them out to me...

I know that there are lighter posts, I wrote thomson since you and I both seem to be running them. My new frame came with the spesh command post, and I have been debating it, but I'm not sure. There isn't much round here that provokes lowering a post a bit... But I think I'll run it sooner or later. I figure that when I get my XTR crankset, and a few other bits, I'll be equal or still lighter than I am now.

I'm not sure, just what I've read on Southerndownhill.
Yeah, I thought about trying to make them aerodynamic for sidewinds rather than straight on... haha

They've put in a new section at the bottom that misses the old switchbacks. Apparently they'll be pretty bad in the mud.
I don't think I'm so worried about the rain, as the wind. My 223 is more of a sail than a bike in high winds!

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, I'll just wait to test ride them to make sure though. Do you know how long the seattubes are on the different sizes? I might just be blind but I can't see them on the site.

Ah, lucky. I love my old one but I bought a small and ended up being 6' so I sold it for a bigger bike. I can't decide whether I should get a medium or a large. It will be pretty much FR only so I don't really want the longer seattube of the large. Wish I could get a large tt with a small st.

Dude, of anyone to bitch at about second chances, you picked the wrong mod. Ive fought for you guys many times, but, its showing like that that give everyone a bad taste in their mouth. If they ever showed any respect after the many chances weve given, id be different. You have to admit, you guys do NO self-policing. It just gets taken further and further.
Im working on a solution now though, so give me a little slack for a bit.
